MY NAME IS MORGAN

My name is Morgan; no not like Fairchild, yes, like Freeman. It’s a dude name too.
I’ve always loved photography. Whenever my family went on vacation, I was the designated photographer, toting around a camera purchased off the rack at Walgreens. Fast forward to 2008, after going on a trip of a lifetime to China to document my nephew’s adoption armed with my first DSLR (a Nikon D40), I came back with images that sparked many “you should be a photographer” comments. At the same time, a friend put out a call for a wedding photographer. I volunteered as tribute. Now, these years later, I can’t imagine myself doing anything else.
I love photography, and I love “love.” Love is the essence of our Creator; the wind in the sails, the ink in the pen that is writing our very story. Love is the muse in every story you’ve ever read. My favorite images are usually the candid moments captured on the pages of the love stories unfolding around me; a stolen glance from a new bride to her husband, a child laughing while being tossed in the air and tickled, a mother holding her minutes old child. These are the moments I treasure as a father and husband, as well as when I am on the other side of the lens.
Photography is a never ending passion, with each image a never ending pursuit of joy, documenting fleeting moments that would otherwise disappear with time.
I thoroughly enjoy all types of photography, as each genre provides its own set of challenges and victories, but I specifically love weddings. Weddings are the only events where people generally desire to be on camera – after all, they’ve spent the time and money preparing and traveling for a specific momentous occasion.
There is a level of stress involved that keeps me on my toes, always wanting to be in just the right spot, for just the right shot. The trust that couples place with me as their photographer is not lost upon me. With deep gratitude, I take on each wedding as a unique opportunity to provide my clients with the images that they will share with friends and families for years to come.
